WINTRY CONDITIONS AT MARLBORO. Washington, D. C., November 2. Although it was quite cold at Marlboro this afternoon, a , good-sized crowd visited the track. An ordinary lot of horses took part iu all the races, but there were several close finishes. Three favorites and a second choice were returned winners. The best field of the day went to the post in the third race, which was easily won by Grandissimo. after hading all the way. jockey Fairbrother piloted two winners.
