NAN FERGUSON began slowly but, under urging, closed a big gap and, gaining fast in the stretch, got up to win in the last stride. MAYNORA showed high speed and set a fast pace for the going, but was unwisely raced into exhaustion. COLETTA had to be hard ridden to get up for third money. TENDER BLOOM closed up much ground and came fast in the last quarter. ATTENTIVE tired. MISS DETROIT quit after running prominently to the stretch. Overweights Tender Bloom. 1 pound; Plain Ann. 5. BRIG, close up fr.om the start, bumped her way through on the first turn and, running into the lead when called on. appeared an easy winner on the stertch turn, but had to do her best at the end to outstay COLONEL HOLLOWAY. The. latter was best at the distance, but suffered from much crowding on the first turn, where he was forced wide, then closed a big gap and almost got up to win. . BONNE CHANCE ran well and had no mishaps. ANDRA.TOSA tired after running forwardly for three-quarters. BETTY FFLLER canto from a long way back in the stretch. SLEETH tired near the end.
