OLD-TIME TURFMAN DEAD. Cyrus Ross Jaynes, widely known as nn owner of race horses In the prosperous days of racing around Chicago, died Monday at his residence, 5010 Prairie avenue, Chicago. He was a veteran of the civil war, having served as colonel in the Sixteenth Illinois. Later ho became prominent on the race tracks and made and spent several fortunes. Ho was seventy years old and is survived by Mrs. Jaynes. The funeral will take place tomorrow.
