GOSSIP FROM BLUE GRASS REGION. Lexington, Ky., December 5. By buying the two-year-old York Lad from W. L. Lewis and the yearling chestnut filly by Nasturtium Cassandra, by Horoscope, from Bryan and Shannon today. Lew Marion concluded his purchases of thoroughbreds aud shipped Ins string of six to Louisville tonight. John B. McLaughlin, the pool auctioneer, and trainer Charles II. Hughes left tonight for West Baden Springs for a brief sojourn preparatory to the opeuing of the racing season at Cliarleston, whither they both will go. A. D. Worley left here today for Juarez with six horses, two of his own, Layniinster and the yearling chestnut filly by Marta Santa Answer, and four that Jack Keene is sending to ids brother, Hamilton Keene. they l-ing the two-year-olds P.atwa. Mycenae and Lieut. Sawyer, and the yearling brown gelding by .Marta Santa Roberta Lee.
