OUR NUGGET, showing improvement, was in forward contention from the start and drew out decisively in the stretch. ROSEBURG II.. also showing improvement, ran well and finished fast. SPRING FROG stood a hard drive gamely through, the stretch. ANIMUS was gaining at the end and ran away two miles after the finish. MAROMARA ran a gtfoT? race, but was forced to go wide on the first two turns and tired near the finish. IIELENE ran well, but tired in the stretch drive. OAKLEY ran gamely for him.
