GOSSIP FROM BLUE GRASS REGION. Lexington, Ky., December IS. Walter S. House is here from New York to take up his two geldings, Norbitt and Osteud. that have been running out at John S. Barbees Glen Helen Farm and ship them to Charleston. Ostend is the son of Ogdeu that was taken out bv "night riders" at Sheepshead Bay in September. 1JM9, and galloped into exhaustion to prevent his starting in a race the following day. Ostend has been turned out here practically ever since that time. Charles II. Hughes received a letter from II. C. Hallenbeck of New York today saying that trainer Frank Tavlor had decided not to ship back to Louisville to winter at the Jake Greenberg farm.- as was announced he might do after the death of Stinger and Herkimer. He will remain at Aiken, S. C, unless ho concludes to race at Charleston. Vice-president Milton Young of the Kentucky State Racing Commission will leave on Christmas day with his young son and daughter for a visit to New Orleans.
