BLACK MATE ran into quick prominence and, after being saved to the last sixteenth, took the lead with a rush. MAMAC fell far back in the early running, then closed a big gap into a fast going second. JIM Mc showed much speed and held on gamely to the end. CHESS finished well. JOHN HECK was cut oil" at the half-mile post. TIFLIS closed a gap in the last quarter. EARLENE ran forwardly from the start and led into the stetch, but tired finally. STAFFORD ran well and finished gamely. MA PL-ETON closed a gap. ANTIGO hoc the early pace and quit badly. JOHN H. SALVAGE took the lead quickly and made the pace fast for the first half, but tired .when challenged lu the homestretch. ILEX was a prominent and game contender all the way. ANNUAL INTEREST ran sluggishly for the first half and finished with a belated rush. LOMOND and LITTLE JANE ran poorly. Scratched 09S72 Bellsnicker. 112. FLYING FEET ran a game race, making up much ground and finishing with a rush. BALELLA shewed the most early speed, but tired at the end. GOLDEN RUBY ran well to the stretch. LOTTA CREED raced under restraint behind the leaders to the stretch, then moved up rapidly and, taking a good lead in tho last furlong, won easing up. LENA LECH alternated with CHAXTICLOR in pacemaking to the stretch and made a game, but tiring, finish. SAM CONNOR was well back for the first three-quarters J!iul, coming fast through the stretch, outstayed CHARLES GREEN for third place. The latter also finished fast. CHAXTICLOR tired after running a good three-quarters. BOANO showed speed. KEEP MOVING ran a bad race. Overweights Robert. 1 pound.
