BLACK BRANCH took the lead at once and, running well in the going, won as his rider pleased after a slight shaking up in the stretch. CARLISLE M- moved up fast in the stretch, but tired and just lasted long euougli 1 to hold second place. TACKLE ran fairly well, but was given a bad ride. TIGER JIM closed a gap In 1 the stretch. PREMIER was kept too far back in the early running and finished with a lelated rnsh. HERBERT TURNER showed fine speed for a half mile and tired in the stretch drive. HANNAH LOUISE was prominent most of the way, but tired. AVESTERN BELLE ran poorly. SIR EDAAARD was away badly. DIPPER showed speed.
