JOE KNIGHT was always a forward contender but, being much used in racing FLYING YANKEE into defeat, tired when it came to the final drive.- GOLL1WOGG was a forward and game contender all the way. PROGRESSIVE ran poorly in the going. BLACK CHIEF quit after running well to the .stretch. VOLTHORPE arid BATTERY closed gaps in tho last quarter. FLYING YANKEE set the early pace and quit badly.
