NOTES OF THE TURF. The horses owned by Hon. John S. Hendrle alid George M. Hendrle, will probably be trHiisrerred from Woodbine to the Valley Farm at Hamilton this week to go into winter quarters. Several marcs have been sent from New Zealand i to Australia to be mated with St. Savin, now at the Woodlands Stud in New South Wales. Among the foals reported there Is one by St. Savin from Alma Dufour. The Governors Cup of 3,000 rupees, one mile and a quarter, run at Colombo, Ceylon, last month, was won bv the English-bred mare; Santolnette. In the Turf Club Plate, one mile and three-quarters, Ellenora, which finished second In the cup, beat Santolnette by a head. Both mares are by Santol.
