BIG KENTUCKY SHIPMENT TO CHARLESTON. Cincinnati, O., October 30. Frank J. Bruen. who will act as auditor at Charleston during the seventy-eight days meeting scheduled to open December 1. has completed a tabulation of the list of horsemen who intend shipping from here to Palmetto Park at the close of Latonia racing. According to present plans the special train for Charleston over the Louisville and Nashville Railroad will leave the Latonia track at noon, Monday, No-veiulier 17. It will be made up of twenty Arms lialace horse cars, two sleepers, two -day coaches, two baggage cars and a diner. The train will go via Atlanta and Augusta and is scheduled to reach Palmetto Park early Wednesday morning. Dr. C Cann has punch-tired Fundamental for Ira Fitzgerald and for Al Duulap the noted old campaigner, Harney Oldtield. Both will be shipped to Juarez. J S. Barbee has disposed of his entire crop of veai-lings. He has at Glen Helen Stud a likely band of weanlings. One of these is a brother to John Gund, Light 0 M Life and La Mode and another is a chestnut colt by Voter Carlotta C. by Harden Edwards. Trainer John Walters has shipped Great Britain stud other members of G. M. Hendries stable to winter quarters at Gallatin, Tenn. and at the close of the Latonia meeting he will take those now in training here to that place. It is a rule of Walters to null off the shoes of all his horses and let them ruu out until time to resume training in the spring. He expects to remain with the stable at Gallatin until the middle of March, when he will ship them to Douglas Park to be prepared for Kentucky racing. W. S. Netherlands, for whom Phil Chinn was acting at the vearling sale when he purchased the bay colt b- Peep oDay Wedding Day for ,330, is a Louisville gentleman of wealthy connections who is a newcomer to racing. He has lieen an enthusiastic patron of the sport since, its revival in this state under its present management and is likely to ul-timatelv get together quite a racing string. V II. Rowe. registrar of the Jockey Club, lias notitied M- B. Gruber that the names he has selected for his two promising yearlings have been accented and registered. The bay colt by McGee Gunrod will race under the name of Sam McMeeken, while the bav colt by McGee Interview will be raced as Little String. j w Schorr s good three-year-old. Leochares. had a touch" of fever a day or two ag-. but his condition Is now again normal.
