NOTES OF THE TURF. Frank ONeills 1C2 victories in 7C3 mounts breaks all French records, including his own, established last year with 14S wins. Mimorloso, which recently equaled the Juarez record of a mile in 1:37, is reported to have been sold for 200 as a two-year-old. Jockey Slusgrave has just returned to New York from a visit to Harry Payne Whitneys Brookdale Farm. According to the rider there are a particularly fine lot of coining two-year-olds in the Whitney barn. Musgrave says that the stallion Peter Pan, bought by -Mr. Whitney at the Keene sale, is now the finest looking horse he ever saw. The new directorate or the Hamilton Jockey Club is made up as follows: President, Hon. William :ihson; vice-president. Judge Monck; directors, J. J. Scott. K. C. George S. Kerr. K. C. H. J. Sle-Intyre, U. It. Simpson. Gordon J. Henderson, F. C. Bruce. ex-M. P., and John F. Shea. The Hamilton Jockey Club directors say that if the jockey club property is not annexed to the city of riamilton they will build a line hotel. Another sign of the awakening of racing in New York is had in the fact that Secretary H. I. Pelz of the Westchester Racing Association lias prepared his stake list for the coining year. These stake blanks will be received from the printer and distributed among horsemen within a few days. There will be much the same list as in other seasons, and it is probable that the closing date for nominations will be December 31. James McLaughlin. Jr., lias come back to the turf. He has the horses of R. E. Stevenson at Gravesend and will condition them for next seasons racing. J. J. Lillis is a two-year-old in the lot that raced this season. He also has a chestnut filly by Heno Itene Lindsay and two other Heno yearlings. Mr. Stevenson has signified his intention of going into racing more seriously in 1914 and other purchases are contemplated. M. B. G ruber, of Louisville, has purchased from Dan Lehan the contract of jockey B. French. The agreement has two years to run. Jockey Killings-worth, who rode for the stable during the past season, has been released. French will ride Little Nephew in the Kentucky Derby of 1014. The son of Incle is doing well in winter quarters, and his trainer, Elza. Brown, expects to get him to the races next spring in the form he showed at the outset of his two-year-old career when he beat Old Rosebud In his first two starts.
