THE TETRARCH WINTERING HEALTHFULLY. Where such an exceptional two-year-old as The Tetrarch is concerned, much interest is naturally taken in his well-being and future prospects, and we are glad to be able to say that the sou of Rol Ilerode and Vahreu is wintering exceptionally satisfactorily. The mishap which prevented him fulfilling his engagement in the Imperial Produce Plate at Kempton last month proved to have been of the slightest character, and he is now as sound as when he was foaled. At his training quarters at Stockbridge he is taken out to exercise every morning, one lad riding and another leading him. He is remarkably fresh and as lively as a kitten, and should he continue to progress as favorably as he is now doing and every lover of a good horse trusts he may he will grow into a grand-looking three-year-old, and for the sake of his sporting owner, Capt. D. srcCalmont, the hope will be general that be may carry his juvenile excellence into his second season. London Sportsman.
