King Worth was a well-hacked favorite and was ridden by jockey Kederis. Don Cortcz. from the Newman stable, graduated s from the maiden class when lie won the dash for :l juveniles after having been hacked into odds-on 1 favoritism. The second race brought the victory of a long shot in Heal Worth, against whose chances 20 to 1 was laid. lie led all the way and lasted to win by half 1 a length from the favorite. Thaka. Winn, of the Jockey Club Juarez, in increasing the purse value for the remainder of the meeting, the increase having become effective yesterday, has naturally enhanced the good feeding which has existed right along between Manager Winn aud the horsemen racing here. As previously stated, the daily offering tit Juarez from now on to the end of the meeting will be ,400. exclusive of stakes, distributed in i one purse of 00, four of 00 and one of 00. This action of Manager Winn Is in keeping with the policy he has always pursued in his attitude towards the horsemen in connection with his management of various tracks.
