THE SEAGRAM STRING FOR 1914. Toronto. Out., March 0. The thoroughbreds of Joseph E. Seagram have wintered well at his farm at Waterloo. As usual, they will be given their early preparation on the track adjoining the farm, and will be shipped to Woodbine Park about May 1. With the exception of Roekviile, the string for the coming seasons campaign will be composed of PioviiKc-bieds and number seventeen in all, as follows: Kockville, ch. h, 0. Rustling, b. in, 5 Maid of Frome. b. f, 1. Puritan Lass, It. f, -1. Bark Kosaleen, br. f, 3, Kings Plater. 1 alien Angel, ch. f. 3. by Iiifenio-Salauie. Fioissarl, b. g, 3, Kings Plater. Meissen, b. f, 3, Kings Plater. Sea Lord. br. g, 3, Kings Plater. Sir Launcelol. b. g, 3, by Ypsilaiili II. Dolores III. Vastatio. b. g, 3, Kings Plater. Brown colt, 2. by Havoc Martyrdom. Chestnut colt, 2. by Havoc Cruche dOr. Chestnut colt, 2. by Inferno Irish Witch. Hay lilly, 2, by Havoc Frou Frou. Bay lilly, 2. by Ypsilauti II. Chinka. Chestnut lilly, 2, by Havoc Frome. The good horse Kockville, which started only once last season, when he won the opening race of the Ontario Jockey Club fall meeting from high--lass opposition, will again be trained this season, but his underpinning is none too sound. He is looking ns well as ever, however. Hustling, a usefful -performer, lias filled out well since last fall. Fallen Angel has never started. She was on the ailing list last fall and will not iC put in training until mid-summer. Sir Launcelot, although eligible for the Kings Plate, has not been doing well and will not be trained for the big race. He lias yet to face the barrier. Puritan Lass is also a maiden, but has never shown enough in her races to warrant being entered in he race for the guineas. Of Hie three-year-olds Bark Bosaleen gives promise or developing- into tin; best Plate prospect. She won three races last year and, besides displaying speed, showed that she could stay. Meissen, another lilly, was only once out of the money in nine trips to lie barrier and won on four occasions. She is rather small, however, to race successfully over the Plate route. The remaining two aspirants for Plate honors must improve over the form they have shown to dale to be troublesome and the above trio will in all probability carry the black and yellow sash of the Ontario Jockey Club president on Plate day. Tiie Inferno Irish Witcli colt is one of the best looking youngsters in the string. The Inferno- -Martyrdom colt, a brother to Slaughter, is stockily built, and the Havoc Frou Frou lilly is a well-developed individual. The lliivoc -Frome lilly. a sister to Maid of Frome. showed good speed after being broken last fall. The son of Havoc and Cruche dOr is also a big, line-looking colt, and from present indications the local stable will cut a big lig-ure in Hie hoine-bred two-year-old events this season. Mr. Seagram has only seven yearlings, four of which are colts and three lillies, several of them by the imported horse Galatine. Five foals have already arrived on the hcene this spring, including on., colt and four lillies. .
