WANTS CHANCE AT LEXINGTON RECORD. Lexington, Ky., March 18. Secretary G. D. Wilson of the Kentucky Association totlay received a letter from Jefferson Livingston, dated at Chicago, advising him that Iron Mask will be shipped to Lexington for the spring meeting and requesting that he be permitted to rim against the track record of 1:12 for three-quarters of a mile early iu the meeting. Mr. Livingston says that he will ship his string from Juarez in a few days. If he cannot get good engagements in Kentucky for Iron Mask he will send liim and some of his other horses to Belmont Park. Requests were received from R. F. Carman and W. M. Carter, trainer for Thomas Fortune Ryan, for stable room. The former asked for twenty five stalls and the latter for eighteen. John Miller will leave here tomorrow for Xew York with eight thoroughbreds. Four are recent purchases of C. Herman Steinlieck front John K. Madden H.v-patia and three two-year-olds to be trained by L. Marline. Two are Kenneth Alexanders mares. Starry Xight and Christinas Star, the former to be mated with Ieter Pan and the latter with Broomstick at Harry Payne Whitneys farm in Xew Jersey, and the other two are two-year-olds going to trainer Kimball Patterson at iJbeopshead Bay. Jack Adkins said today that it is Adelaide T. and not Biickhoru that he is doubtful about training. "There isnt a pimple on Buckhorn." said he. "His legs are as clean as the day he was foaled, and he is as sound as a new bell of brass. Some of the liaiidicapperH tried lo break him down with weight last year, but they did not succeed in doing so and the horse Is In fine shuic after bis winters rest i go into training." T. C. .McDowell today sejld Florist to Will Perkins, lie also sold G rover Hughes a two-year-old by Canopus.
