GOSSIP FROM THE BLUE GRASS REGION. Lexington, Ky.. March 20. John E. Madden has purchased from W. J. Grist, of Kansas, the thoroughbred mares Fair Louise sister to Flora Fina, by Ogden Flora Pomona; Dorothy Ledgett. by Sain Amelia May; Court Maid, by Prince Royal Sallie McAllister, and Quebec dam of Province and Montreal, by St. Jude Stanhope Gate. William E. Phillips today bought Leo Skolney and Sail Vega, the former from J. C. Milam, and the latter from B. F. Guthrie, and will race them this year. J. C. Milam has taken up Alex Labolds two-year-, old colt, Christie, by Star Shoot Chulita, and has him in traiuiung at the Kentucky Association track. Maud B. L. foaled a chestnut colt by Peep o Dav for J. C. Milam last night. Runaway Girl half sister to Peter Quince, Horoscope aud Trance, and dam of Meggs Hill. Wedding Bells, Infatuation and Pankhurst, the property ot Price McKinney. of Cleveland, foaled a brown lilly, by Sweep, at Kingston farm yesterday.
