BATWA ran into the lead soon after the start and easily held sway for the entire way. PREMIER, away in a jam and poorly ridden, was far back to the stretch turn, from where he came with a rush, hut could not get up. NIMBUS was always a contender, but tired badly and, under strong urging, just lasted long enough to save third place. RUISSEAU showed much improvement and ran a good race while suffering from interference. INCISION ran well to the homestretch and quit badly. PALMA, close up from the start, gained steadily through the stretch and, finishing fast, won iu a canter. GAGNANT closed a big gap and came with a rush after going three-eighths. HENRIETTA W. was forced to run wide most of the way and finished gamely. CHERRY SEED set the early pace, but tired badly after showing high speed to the homestretch. BEVERSTEIN had a rough race. HUGH GRAY quit after showing speed for a half mile and the same applies to PETERKIN. Scratched 13705 La Sainrella. 125. JABOT was away forwardly and, racing into the lead iu the first quarter, set a good pace ami, holding 011 gamely, won easing up. JUDGE MONCK, from a slow beginning, made up ground steadily and finished gamely. JOE STEIN suffered from much interference, but closed a big gap and finished fast. NAPIER tired in the stretch after running a good three-quarters. COLONEL ASHMEADE quit badly after raeing forwardly to the stretch. GERRARD tired badly. STELLATA was saved under restraint for the first seven-eighths, then moved into the lead with rush when called on and won easing up. FROG moved up fast in the last quarter, but took a bad Kwerve under punishment and -interfered with ARMOR, then was going well at the end. ARMOR ran well, but was in close quarters after entering the stretch and lost ground in the last eighth by going wide. BRANDO ran fairly well. MOISANT set the pace to the homestretch and quit badly. ELLA GRANE ran in improved form and, taking the lead in the stretch, only gave wav in the last twenty yards. MARY ANN K. elosed a gap in the last quarter and finished fast. MYCENAE ran well. TA NUN DA lost much ground on the turns by going extremely wide. BILLIE BAKER quit in the stretch. SEPULVEDA set the pace for three-quarters and .quit all over. Scratched 13SG0 Effcndi. 110.
