TOMMIE WRIGHTS UNUSUAL EXPERIENCE. A dispatch from New York says: "Thomas Wright, an amateur rider of Baltimore. Md., established a unique record at the Piping Hock racing, matinee Wednesday. When he was riding Hcrculoid in tne Piping ltock Cup. a handicap steeplechase, liis horso fell and he was unconscious for ten minutes, then was revived and rode Hcrculoid home the winner, the other two riders being incapacitated. This is how it happened: There were three horses in the race, Hcrculoid, Web Carter and Lampblack. At tlie first lump Web Carter blundered, threw his jockey and raced along riderless. . At a clump of trees he bolted and disappeared. Soon after Lampblack fell, threw his rider, broke his. bridle and ran into the woods. Then Hcrculoid took a tumble, throwing and stunning Wright. After ten mlnuTes of hard work Wright was revived and Hereulonl was pulled to his feet. While this was taking place the rider of Lampblack, half a mile- away, had caimht his horse and was trying to get him fixed up to continue the race, but before he could do so Wright remounted and forced Hcrculoid over the course a winner."
