ENGLISH FAVORITES BAD SEASON. Writing at the beginning of this month, and counting nil the fiat races run up to that time, an English writer lias been calculating the percentage of successful choices, which falls far below the normal figure In Mils country. The record reads: Races run. 1.110; favorites won, IM; second. 270; third. 140; unplaced. 2S9. The percentage of wins, therefore, has been a trifle under 2S pir cent.
