ANOTHER FAVORABLE NEW YORK DECISION. New York, October 29. Rudy Hayman, accused I of having accepted bets on horses racing at the b Aqueduct track June 25 of this year, was discharged " yesterday. Hayman, who was represented II bv Abraham Allenberg, was arraigned before Justices !" Foulkner. Morse and Herrman in Special Sessions at Jamaica. Detective Edward J. Hughes, working under the c direction of the police department of the City -f f New York, testified that he had posted twenty y dollars with Hayman on June 23. Water Welles s and Crossbun were horses he wagered upon. Hughes claimed that Hayman gave him a pad of slips and showed him how to fill out the same e with name of horse, the odds and his initials, and I he further contended that Hayman displayed odds s ou his- program. Lawyer Allenberg made a motion to dismiss the e complaint on the grounds that his client did not t exhibit odds to the general public, nor did the e evidence show that books, sheets or other paraphernalia were kept by the defendant.
