GOSSIP FROM BLUE GRASS REGION. Lexington. Ky.. December 4. J. C. Milam, acting for C, F. Buschemeyer. of Louisville, today purchased from John E. Madden the yearling chestnut colt by Star Shoot Berry Maid and the yearling bay colt. Tureo, by Hastings Turquoise. Mr. MJIam will train and race them for Hawthorns owner, The price paid was not made known. The Berry Maid colt was knocked down at the sale of Senator Johnson N. Camdens yearlings at Sheeps-liead Pay. September 2, to Mo Goldblatt for ,000 sind the Turquoise colt was sold for $:!75 to the bid of C Erboilt at the auction saie of yearlings from the Nursery Stud at Belmont Park. June 20. It. L. Baker todav bought from S. K. Hughes the yearling chestnut colt by Transvaal Ethel Simpson Vdani of White Face. He will be trained by Jack Baker. The stallion Golden Maxim was today shipped to file farm of his new owner, Thomas Murphy, near Louisville.
