FORMER JOCKEY KNIGHT IS KILLED. Lexington, Ky., December 4. Mrs. Lydia Knight, of Brighton coupty, was today notified of the tragic death of her sou. Tommy Knight, formerly one of the best known jockeys on the American turf, while on bis way to the races at Juarez. Mexico. Knight was a sonriambulist, and while asleep walked out of a car in which he was riding while the train was going at full speed. He was killed almost Instantly. The accident occurred near Sweetwater. Tex. Jockey Knight was at one time in the employ of J. B. Respess and rode Dick Welles when that speedy horse made his American record of for one mile at the Harlem track near Chlcagc August 14. 1903. Knight was a colored lad.
