WILL SEEK LEGISLATION IN INDIANA. A press dispatch from Gary. 1ml.. says that "racing may come to life at tlie Mineral Springs track at Porter if the plans for a new campaign in the legislature In January are worked out. A bill already has been drawn legalizing the parl-mutuel system of betting at race tracks in this state and the promoters of the jocker club are confident tho bill will be passed. Two years ago a bill legalizing racing at .Mineral Springs was vetoed bv the governor. The club then made an attempt to operate the track, hut Governor Ralston upset the plau In-ordering out the militia. Heavy suits were llleil against the track owners. Judgments have been paid and an attempt will be made to pass the pari-mutuol law which now is in force in Kentucky."
