DISCUSSING RACING AT HOT SPRINGS. The Cincinnati Enquirer prints the following dispatch from Hot Springs, Ark.: "While it is not much worse than even money that liorse racing is revived 111 Hot Springs inside of six mouths time possibly by spring, so that Oaklawn can be the scene of a thirty-days meeting commencing St. I atrick s Day, everything on the horizon indicates that gambling in the chilis is a thing of the past. Louis Cella. of St. Iiuis. owns the big end of Oaklawn. He is perfectly willing to let the natives organize a Citizens Jockey Chili and run several meetings on their own hook, providing thev can bring the game back. All Cella insists upon is that the resident crowd, if it does organize, bank sufficient money guaranteeing the paying of all purses and running expenses, so that there will not be any bills against the track should the meeting prove a failure. Efforts were made to arrange a meeting last spring under this arrangement, but A. B. .aines. the main owner of Arlington aud Eastman Hotels, and Colonel Samuel W. Fordvce were the only ones agreeing to pay up their full share, so the scheme died u-horning. It has been common talk the past thirty days that Oaklawu will in all likelihood be the scene of a spring meeting, or a fall meeting at the worst, should the spring meeting not materialize". 1
