CALIFORNIA REVIVAL GREAT SUCCESS. San i-rane-i.-c-o. al.. September 21. — Californias turf revival temporarily came to a close at the i.xpisition trae-k Saturday. There are many rumors itl iat of meetings which will be held elsewhei in i he -tato. The Gohlen Gate Thoroughbred Breed-■ i- Association is more than pleased with ii- initial • tl. rt. Tin- members were quite satisfied to I. t well enough alone-, and for that reason abandon od the idea of lengthening the meeting. The men ehiiei the movement believe they have proved thai their interest in the sport of kings is an Interest in the breeding of the thoroughbred, and they have iieen encouraged by the exceptional attemlai.ee which has marked the meeting. Next spring the association will doublb-s continue the sport revival. Another thirty clay met ;ng is planned, and it will most likely be hii.l al T.-inf- ran. Of course, this is only tentative, and no official action has been taken by the association. There is talk of weekly meetings at Hacramecto, Stockton, Santa Rosa and Petaioma, all of which places are equipped with race tracks.
