McTaggart to lead our jockeys in the course of last weeks racing, six winning mounts falling to his share. He has been riding ■, with skill, vigor and much succees this year and a first-rate jockey. In the matter of percentage of winning mounts he stands second to Butwell. J. McCahey had five winning mounts last week and ranked second to McTaggart. A. Mott and E. Martin finishing in a tie for third place, ] will, a credit of each having won four races. With only two major tracks in operation the opportunities for advancement are not now so good as they were several months back and changes in relative rank are less probable.
