SOME CANADIAN TURF LEGISLATION. Toronto, Ont.. November 10. — At | recent meeting of the Canadian Racing Associations considerable important business was transacted. P*" • »■■ V" P Fn ser of T.-roiito was ap|M inted to represent the Canadian Racing Associations at a meeting to be held in New York the current month, at which August Belmont will represent the jockey Club and former United States Senator Johnson N. Camden the Kentucky State Racing Commission. A proposal to restrict the early racing of two-year-olds and other subjects will be considered. Several amendment to the Canadian rules of racing were made. One provides that only two overnight races for a distance of less than one mile, for horses three years old and over, shall be given on any race day. Another provides that au apprentice shall be entitled to a five-pounds allowance up to and including his fifteenth winning mount, after which he shall be entitled to claim the allowance only when riding for his contract employer. An apprentice shall be entitled to his allowance for one year or 365 days after riding a winner for the first time in an open race. Riding a winner in a race given for maiden jockeys shall not count. It was also decided that all jockey clubs or racing associations must include in their programs enoh day one selling race in which there shall not be any apprentice allowance. The term "Canadian-bred" was defined as meaning a horse foaled iu Canada. i
