SPIRITED RACING PLEASES EAGLE AND BERTODANO EIGHT OUT A CLOSE FINISH AT A MILE. Pan Zareta Wins the Sprint at Three-Quarters with Ease — Supreme Proves a Failure and Is Claimed When Beaten. New Orleans. La.. January 29. — Eagle and Rcrto-ilano figured in a sharp duel in the mile handicap . that featured this afternoons good program at the Fair Grounds. The two fought it out ill l— mill J and alternated in the lead until in the last few-strides, where the Hen representative got his head in Croat and won the verdict.
