■ i PUSS IN BOOTS OFF FOR ENGLAND. New York. February 14. — Puna in Roots. Foxhall P. Keeaea three-year-old daughter of Peter Pan and Star Cat. sailed on the Minnehaha Saturday for England. She has been consigned to trainer Batters, who will point her for the One Thousand Guineas and Ihe Oaks. Slip has grown and improved considerably since being thrown out of training last fall, and Mr. Keene is of the opinion that she has a royal chance for the big English prizes. Harrv Payne Whitneys broodmare Matinee, an eight-year-old daughter of Broomstick and Audience, and accordingly a sister to Whisk Broom IL, also went on the Minnehaha and will be returned to this country after being mated with a leading English stallion. The death of Herman B. Duryea brought about some Complications in the transfer of his horses from France, but an effort is being made now to siart them on their way to this country. Under the existing regulations in France they must be taken out of the country by March 1 if they are permitted t have at all. aides have lieen sent ordering their shipment i" England, where they an- safe to remain until shipping plans can be made for the rest of the i iii-icv. There are thirty-seven in the Duryea string and while it has not been definitely announced it is thought that they will find their way into the sales ring.
