Writing to Daily Racing Form from London under date of February 28, Mr. K. B. Conssell. secretary of the Dritish Dloodstock Agency, conveys some interesting information in regard to broodmares purchased in behalf of American owners, but still in i Kngland. He says: "Several wdl bred young mares have recently . been purchased in Kngland by American breeders through the Dritish Dloodstock Agency, London. ••With one exception, however, they will not be going to your country for a few months, as they remain to foal and breed again before shipment. "The Hon. J. N. Camden has bought a good-looking . young mare named Double Dark. She was [ bred in 1912 and is by Dark Ronald second in the sire list in 1915 out of Dark Agnes dam of Doited I and Daulhan. winners of over 0,000 b.v Cyllene out of Agnes Court, which bred Merry Agnes, the , dam of the champion race horse Dommern. Double ; Dark, which is one of the best bred mares he ever bought for the United States, is due to foal to Matchmaker whose offspring have won 80,000 in stakes. She will be bred to the Derby winner. ; Lemberg, which won over .00,000. He is. of course, b.v Cyllene out of Galicia, dam of Bayardo. "Mr. Arthur D. Hancock of the Ellerslie Stud has also been making some purchases. For his account J Caere arrived the other day Lady Carnot, a good-looking three-year-old daughter of Radium winner „ of the Doncaster and Goodwood Cups out of Gravitation, sisti r ti the first-class race horse and sire. ; William the Third. "Patricia IV. on February 6 foaled a good bay filly b.v Adam Dede winner of the Cambridgeshire. She has been mated with Junior, which won the Manchester Cup. 2,508, with 114 pounds up, beating The Curragh: the Dibury Cup. arbor Handicap, one and three-quarters miles: Chesterfield Cup and many other races. Junior, for which an offer of 00,000 was refused, is b.v Symington son of Hampton out of Bey 11a, sister to Klectra. winner of the One Thousand Guineas.
