FINE LAT0NIA DERBY NOMINATIONS. All the Presumed Three-Year-Old Stars of Racing to Come Among the Entries. The mile and a half Lntonia Derby drew sixty entries, while the shorter Kentucky Derby received fifty -six. The obvious lesson is that owners and trainers are not averse to testing the stamina of their three-year-olds, provided sufficient inducement is offered. Its S10.000 added gives the inducement in this case and the splendid response is one to appeal to the pride of any racing official. Substantially the nominations are those made to the big Louisville race and for once it Is to be anticipated that the Lntonia Derby is to be contested by a great and attractive field. Last year H. P. Whitney did not contest this race, but he shows an evident intention to do so this year. To the s. ven entered by him at Louisville, he has in this ease added the Proomstick gelding Hubbub.
