■ OWNER B0RKEL TO BUY MORE HORSES. New York. March 25. George P.olkel. the owner of Bertodano ami a couple of other horses, is back ; from New Orleans and ready to begin racing again i at Bowie. Mr. Borke] was out of tin sport for a while, but drifted back into it and is now anxious to get in deeper. His successful winter at New hi ins will be the inctnthe for him to buy two or three more horses as soon as he can locate something worth while. A letter recently received from John W. Schorr. who is at Hot Springs, speaks glowingly of the meeting and the attendance. Mr. Schorrs only complaint is lack of accommodations for the visi-tors. "Lids of folks here are sleeping in 2 by 4 rooms who can afford to pay for a 10 by 12." says the letter. This speaks well for the popularity of the sport.
