DOUGLAS PARKS SPRING TRIAL STAKES. Louisville. Ky.. March 25. — Manager John Hach-meister has just completed the compilation of the entries in the Spring Trial Stakes, the chief two-year-old race of the coming Douglas Park race meeting. This event has ,500 in added money and has always ranked in value since its inauguration as the third richest stake for two-year-olds, run annually in Kentucky. It was decided last year on June 5, and has always been run on the closing day of the spring meeting at Douglas Park. Manager Hnchmeistcr may pursue the same course this year, as the meeting this spring winds up at Douglas Park on Monday, so probably he will set Saturday. June 10 as the date of its running this year. The previous running of the Spring Trial Stakes has annually been so sensational that a resume of its history, as given below, is of general interest.
