ELIGIBLES FOR RICH EASTERN RACE. New York. April ». — Frank J. Bryan, racing secretary of the Piping Rock Racing Association, has announced the declarations received from the Piping Rock Invitation Handicap, the private sweepstakes that will be one of the features of the meeting at Locust Valley. June 1 and 3. Only seven of the thirty-one named have declared; which leaves twenty -four juveniles eligible for this rich event. These contests at the hunts meetings carry an aspect of sport that means the best in racing, and the Piping Rock Association is ever on the alert to provide new features for each meeting, events out of the ordinary that attract and hold the interest of those who by their energy and liberal financial aid did so much for the restoration of racing in New York state. The full list of those still eligible for the sweepstakes contains the names of eight imported two-year-olds. The eligibles are: Gifford A.
