CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Stout Heart showed soreness in his last race at Hot Springs. II. Perkins has bought Bob Hensley from E. B. Elkins. S. C. Hildreth has hopes of having some of the Belmont horses ready for the opening of the New-York racing season at Jamaica next month. J. B. Campbell, presiding judge and racing secretary of the Hot Springs meeting, will visit friends at Batesville, Ark., before proceeding to Kentucky. Ivory Black, a black colt by Star Shoot — Ivory Bells, is accounted the star of the juveniles in James Butlers stable at the Empire City track. He is a half-brother to Old Rosebud. The Belmont Park track is now in excellent condition for working over, but most of the trainers located the re will make no attempt to get ready for Marylanel racing on account of the backward condition of their horses. Ten fine foals have arrived at the Thorncliffe Farm of the late- Robert Davies, near Toronto, this spring, by First Sight. Nealon and Orme Shore.
