MACKENZIE GATHERING A BIG STABLE. Whitlow Has Another Good One Besides Wenty Hogan-»-Training and Breeding Notes. Lexington. Ky.. April 15.— J. D. Adkins came over from Louisville this morning to direct the shipment of the fast trotters Miss Ferfection, 2:48%, and Anvelite. 2:22:-,, the property of It. J. Mackenzie, to trainer Dick McMahon at Liberty -ville. Adkins reports lie now has a dozen thoroughbreds in training at Churchill Downs, the latest additions to his string being eight two-year-olds from California, recently purchased from Adolpli Spreckels. They are named Amazonian, Tinsel, Conservator, Signoretta, Farewell, Mae-inonde. Lady Dunbar and Fairmonde. He likes Trusty, the Broomstick gelding lie bought from Harry Payne Whitney. San Vega, he says, is training well and Leo Skolny is better than ever. Adkins is delighted with the appearance of six foals recently produced by the Mackenzie mares at Beaumont Farm. Dick, a colt by Dick Finnell--Martha Tipton, has been a quarter in 23 recently .and that he will be a ripe proposition later along in the season. J. T. Superintendent Boss today received a dispatch from Albert Simons asking for stalls for three of Harry Fayne Whitneys horses. J. W. May will bring his string of eight from liouisville in a few days.
