NO HOT SPRINGS AUTUMN MEETING. Hot Springs, Ark.. April 15. Ex-Senator Johnson N. Camden, chairman of the Kentucky State Racing Commission, who has been here for some time departed yesterday for his home iu Versailles. Ky.. and will preside over the meetin-; of the Kentucky State Racing Commission to lie held at Lexington. April 20. Judge Allie W. Young of the commission, who has also been -sojourning here for some time, will lie absent from the meeting. He intends to remain here until the last of April. All the turfmen here, with the exception of A. L. Virby. E. D. Elkins and Bob Rogers, who go next Tuesday, will depart for Lexington tomorrow. 0. K. Ellison left yesterday for Chicago via Louisville, where he will stqji off for several days. Jockey D. Stirling has sufficiently recovered to be removed from the hospital to his temporary home in this city. Regardless of reports to the contrary, there will be no racing at Oaklawn next fall. The townspeople would welcome a short resumption of the sport during the autumn, but it would be prejudicial to a spring meeting. President Gus Strauss, of the Business Mens League, who assisted more than any other one person in bringing about the restoration of racing here this spring, will leave tomorrow- for St. Louis where lie will have a conference with L. A. Cella relative to future racing here. Superintendent Schrader will immediately begin overhauling the Oaklawn plant and plans extensive improvements in general. All the stables arc to re-receive attention iu addition to several coats of paint, ami the grandstand, likewise, will b:- spruced up. Many applications have been received for stalls from owners who are desirous of wintering at the track.
