A number of important stake races offered by the Toronto Jockey Club for its spring meetiug are to close for entries tomorrow and owners who intend to patronize them have scant time left in which to make their nominations. The events in question are: Four Three -Year -Olds and Over. Toronto Cup — Handicap: 0 each; forfeit; ,000 added: mile aind an eighth. The Connaught Cup — -Challenge cup presented by their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Connaught. for the proi erty of Canadian owners, resident in Canada; handicap: 5 each; forfeit; ,000 added: mile and a sixteenth. King Edward Hotel Cup — Handicap; 5 each; forfeit; ,000 added: mile and a quarter. Minto Stakes— Selling: 5 each; forfeit; ,500 added: mile and a sixteenth. William Hendrie Memorial Handicap — 5 each; forfeit; ,500 added; Canadian -foaled; one mile. For Three -Year-Olds. Woodstock Plate— S15 each; forfeit; ,500 added: mile and an eighth. For Two -Year -Olds. Victoria Stakes — 5 each; forfeit; ,500 added: five-eighths of a mile. Juvenile Stakes— 5 each: forfeit; ,500 added: four and one-half furlongs.
