ACTION IS FOR THE GENERAL GOOD. The most important announcement from the meeting of tin- Canadian Racing Associations on Thursday was the assurance of harmony contained in the notification that the Dorval Jockey Club dates for the spring meeting would be those originally allotted, and there would l e no conflict with the -losing day at Woodbine. The desire of the Montreal club for two Saturdays was a natural one. and there are plenty of horses for racing at the two iMiints, but from the viewpoint of the welfare of the eject, which should be the dominating consideration, it is extremely undesirable that there should 1..- any dash in the dates for recognized racing in eastern Canada. — Francis Nelson iu Toronto Glolie.
