NORLEMAN was lncky through the entire race and, standing a drive gamely, got up to win in the final strides. HOCNIR showed much speed and set a fast pace, bat tired slightly right at the end. SAMlEL It. MEYER raced well up early and, after being shuffled back, finished fast and outstayed the others for third place. TALEBEARER ran a fust half and tired in the stretch. BOURBON LASS closed a big gap and finished fast. JOVIAL lost much ground by coming wide. HESTER SMITH was caught in a jam soon after the start. LYNETTE tired. GEORGE SMITH ran a splendid race at the weights and, finishing resolutely, would have won in a few strides more. LAHORE closed a big gap and finished witli a rush. THE GRADER raced well, but tired in the last quarter. JACK ODOWD also tired after racing well to the stretch. DR. CARMEN was practically left. Overweights — George Smith, 4 pounds. MANDY HAMILTON began slowly and was outpaced early, but moved up steadily after going a half mile and, coming fast through the stretch, drew out in the last sixteenth to win going away. DOLINA raced prominently and held on well all the way. DELIVER raced into the lead on the back-stretch, but tired in the last eighth. POPPEE quit in the stretch after setting the early pace. MARY ESTELLE raced well up to the stretch. Lady Always dropped out of contention after, going a half mile. The latter suffered from interference, but ran a good race and made a game finish. FLY HOME tired in the stretch after racing into the lead. INJURY came from far back in the last quarter. SURPASSING dropped out of contention at the half-mile ground and raced wide for the rest of the wsy. PLEASUREVILLE tired after racing into the lead. HAROLD set a fast earlv pace and quit.
