BIG STABLES MOVING TO WOODBINE. Toronto. Ont., May 2. — Training operations being largely influenced by weather conditions, the work at Woodbine this spring has been slow In reaching the interesting stage, but the opening of the racing season is now near, and gallops of an important nature will s w.n be in t.rder. The arrival of the horses of Sir John Hendrie. Mr. Seagram, and the Messrs. Dyment, all of which are due here today, will enliven proceedings. With them on hand the winner of the Plate will be at Woodbine, for Armine and the others that have to bo counted on are already at work on the track over which they are to race. The horses of Mr. George M. Hendries string that are now in Louisville will shortly join the contingent that wintered at Windsor and finished there their training for Woodbine racing. Red Fire and four others are at Windsor, ami trainer Walters will bring about fourteen from Kentucky, including • the purchases made for Mr. Hendrie in England last fall. Trainer Barrv Littlefield will ship the Seagram stable from Waterloo to Woodbine Park, at Toronto, today. Aliout eighteen head will comprise the Seagram string at the outset of the season. Rustling lias Iteen retired for breeding purposes: Froissart has lieen disposed of to J. McFarlane of Toronto; Charon Is being used for saddle puri»oses. and Vastatio has also been sold. Rockville is not coming to Woodbine, but may be trained at the farm if it is the intention to race him this year.
