BEN QUINCE came from a long way back in the last half. BLARNEY showed speed, but tired in the stretch. ROYAL TEA was outpaced badly. M. BERT THURMAN ran a good half and quit. BUCKNER dropped back soon after the start and closed a big gap in the last eighth. MIDWAY had no mishaps and held on fairly well in the stretch. SLEEPER quit after going the first quarter. AURIGA was forced back in the first eighth and finished fast. MAY W. ran as if she disliked the going. SWEET HELEN unseated her rider, when caught in a jam, soon after the start.
