Meyer had conditions to his liking in the substitute race and won the first purse he has taken in over two years. He was entered for 00 and was bid up to ,000 by E. T. Colton, his owner retaining him by an advance of . Lucky B. scored her second win of the meeting when she galloped home in front of Bine Cap anil Autnhell. E. K. Bradleys English filly. May Bird. was making her American debut in this race, but tired after going promisingly for a half mile. Kay Spence. E. U. Bradley. William Hurley and other horsemen, who went to Nashville to testify in the W. W. Dardcn suit against the Adams Express Company, for the loss of his horses in the wreck at Terrace Bark, near Cincinnati, while en route to Windsor last year, returned this morning. E. W. Moore and A. L. Austin will ship their horses at the close of the racing here to Toronto, where they will begin the Canadian racing season. J. W. Mays horses will be shipped to Belmont Park, following the close of the LexfajroM meeting. W. H. Baker made it a double for the afternoon when Krigerio won the fifth race. E. T.
