STAKE PROGRAM OF THE RENO MEETING. Reno. New. May 13. — A number of stakes have been announced for the nineteen-day meeting, starting at Rei:o July 1. They are as follows: July 1 — Opening Handicap, three-year-olds and over, purs.; sl .000; three-quarters mile. July 1 Independence Handicap, three-year-olds and over, purse ,000; one mile. July 11 — The Golden Stakes, two-year-olds, purse »i ; three-aaartea mile. July 15 — Nevada Derby, three-year-olds, purse ,500; one :.nd oiio-t ighth miles. July IX — Juvenile stakes, two-year-olds, purse ,*1.000; five-eighths mile. July 19— Riverside Handicap, three-year-olds and over, purse 00; three-quarters mile. July 22— Reno Rusiness Mens Hat. Heap, three-year-olds and over, purse ,000; one mile. Ralph Baser, wiio was recently appointed racing secretary of the Reno Association, is at work on the program of errata and CXMcta to have it out in itie of two weeks, so that horsemen can look it over. ri s|iei ts are considered bright for ■ successful meeting. Nevada has a State Racing Commission, with pari-mtituel form of watering, and it has proved popular with the Reno race-goers.
