Norvell of Chicago, is racing secretary of the meetings to follow Iimlico at the Gentlemens Driving Park and Marlboro. He may also officiate at Prospect Iark. The Prussian governments studs total nineteen, with 124 thoroughbred stallions doing stud duty. Anion.; the stallions at Graditl are Galt-e More, Ant Patrick and Dark Ronald, and those at Reber-beck include the Hyndney Cup winner Cadonia. This is a complimentary service tendered the chairman of the Jockey Club by Mr. Whitney, and such a mating should produce a high-cl;:ss foal. In Calcutta during the recently-concluded season a couple of new time records for India were made. Rubbling Water, by Colonel Wheeler Shasta Water, died at San Jose, Cal.. recently. She had Iieen bred to Von Tronip. She was one of the best race mares ever bred in California and raced with great success over San Francisco tracks when racing was at its best there. Tiie Dorval steeplechase course is fast Hearing completion under the personal supervision of Manager K. N. Holman. and cross-country experts who have visited the track claim that, when completed, it will be one of the safest and fastest in the Dominion. The patrons of thoroughbred sport in Montreal have always evinced a great interest in the cross-country race* at the Rlue Ronnets track, and with a jumping race on the Dorval program daily, the management expects liberal nominations. The total â– Matter of fiat-racing fixtures granted in England this season is sixty-five. In 1913 the number was Ml, while last year the total was ninety six days, of which sixty -one were before the general stoppage, and Unity one after. English owners are hopeful of arrangements being made for additional fixtures. !n inissia and Pavaria eighty two days are announced, but several of these are confined to jumping. There are also meetings to be held at Hanover and one or two other places in Wurtemberg. The German Derby is to be run at Hamburg Horn on June 25.
