KINGS PLATE CANDIDATES MOVING WELL. Toronto. Out.. May 13. — The Mat pleasant morning of the training season and a track that was at its best was taken advantage of by trainer*, at Woodbine Park this morning. The feature of the work-outs was the exceptionally good mile of the mare Hampton Dame. With -peed left at the end. she went a mile in 1:44.-,. the first half in 49% and three-quarters in 1:10%. Owner Dvment was on hand to see the work of McBride. his Plate candidate, which had been making quite an impression with the trainers who have been watching him in his morning gallops, but after this mornings trial McBride will not have many supporters. With Lady Curzon to force him along, he was doing his best at the end of a mile and a quarter in 2:17%. The fractional time was a half in r l. three -ouarters in 1:17% and the mile in 1:46%. Lady Curzon was under a stout pull for the entire way. Fountain Fay and King Hamburg were going along aaaQj when they made the circuit of the track in 1:46%. King K. was another to show a good mile in 1:45%. Marion Gaiety was sent a half in .".1%. Amphion ami Tin- Isher worked a niih in 1:46%. The Hemlrie Plater Last Spink worked the full Plate route in 2:10%, but at no part of the way was he doing his best.
