JULIALEOX settled into her stride quickest and, taking a good lead, under pressure, maintained her advantage to the finish. COCKLE SHELL began slowly and raced up to the leader in the first eighth and was under restraint while rounding the turn, but tired under punishment. BURLESQUE shied at the barriers rise and was hard ridden throughout, but tired in the final eighth. PRKC1SK was not persevered with. HE WILL followed ETRUSCAN closely in the early running, then drew clear at his riders leisure in the final eighth and won under restrairt. COMELY liegnn slowly and closed up gradually, but came wide when entering the homestretch and easily disposed of ETRUSCAN. The latter showed great speed, but was short and tired after leading to the stretch. LORD BOCK VALE needs a stronger rider and was always outpaced. Scratched— 23812 Landslide, 97. The latter was the closest contender all through and stumbled in the final fifty yards, which cost him the race. LUTHER raced close to the rail from the start, but could never improve his position. NAUSHON also came wide, but gained rapidly in the final quarter. CHESTERTON was shuffled back while rounding the last turn. THESIERES quit.
