CURRENT NOTES OF THE TTJRF. W. U. Coes Mustard may go to Kentucky to run 1 in the Iatonia Derby. The serious illness of their father is keeping the McTaggart brothers out of the saddle. It. E. Watkins has arrived at Belmont Park with two horse* which he brought from New Orleans by bteamship. Trainer A. J. Goldsborough is authority for the assurance that Roamer will not be a starter in the Excelsior Handicap. Fred Mace has purchased the two-year-old Juanita Fredrick, from B. A. Jones. She i a good filly and promises much in the development line. Trainer J. Simon Healy says that there are no two-year-olds now in Captain Cassatts string Which will 1m- ready to start before the opening of the Saratoga meeting. He regards Flying Fairy a-. ■ possible, though not probable, starter in the Excelsior Handicap. E. Arlington, who purchased three racers out of the recent Sanford sale, has decided to race them and. accordingly, they have been turned over to E. H. Garrison. It was his original intention to use the three in his circus. They are at present quartered at Aqueduct. George 1*. Fuller of San Francisco is gathering quite i stable and at Tijuana last week bought Charley McFcrran and Orimar Lad from C. 1. Crip-I»eu, Irosperos Son from J. C. Mayes and Oblivion from Levine and Morgan. His horses will race under the name of the Bronx Stable.
