Won driving: second and third the same. SPECTRE ran green in the early running and was shuffled about considerably and, after having swerved to the outside in the linal quarter, linished fast and gamely and outstayed MIRZA in the final drive. MIRZA raced fast and straight for the entire way and had no mishaps, but tired in the closing strides. RENDLET set the early pace, but was tiring in the final eighth. EDEN PARK finished well. GREMER was crowded back on the turn out of the backstretch and. racing on the outside of the leaders throughout, tired in the final eighth, but outstayed BALGEE. The latter set the early pace, but Was weakly ridden and needs a stronger rider. ARMAMENT quit badly in the final eighth. Won handily; second and third driving. BAYBERRY CANDLE slipped through next to the rail in the final quarter and, finishing fast under punishment, was going away at the end. MARSE HENRY was under restraint in the early running and, coming with a rush at the quarter post, passed PHOSPHOR, but tired when challenged. RHINE MAIDEN raced under pressure throughout and was interfered with often, but finished gamely and outstayed PHOSPHOR. The latter set a great pace, but tired aud had no mishaps. ORMKSDALE showed speed and appears on edge. HIDDEN STAR ran well. Scratched — 26825 Hanson, 114; 20712:Miss Puzzle, 106; Canon Bridge, 108. Overweights — Hidden Star. 1 pound. CAMPFIItE was hard ridden for the entire way and made several game efforts to reach the leader, but could never get up. TUMBLER swerved badly in the early running, then closed up steadily on the leaders, but was held safe in the final drive. OMAR KHAYYAM showed speec; between calls. ARTEMIS ran in and out in the early running, but responded with brilliant speed when called on in the final quarter and wore the leaders down in the final drive, but just lasted long enough to withstand FANTAM BALAS challenge. The latter had no mishaps, finished gamely under punishment and just failed to get up. FIRST BALLOT showed excellent early speed and hung on gamely, but finally tired. TEMPTATION quit in the final quarter. SEA WAVE ran green. Scratched— 20795 Namesake, 115: 20900Spootre. 115.
